Healthy Hash Browns
Ingredients for one Person
1-2 Tsp Olive Oil
Salt & Pepper
First you need to peel and grate the potatoes, followed by putting them into a big bowl of cold water. This water bath helps to release the starch from the potatoes.
After that, you need a few paper towels or a clean kitchen towel to remove as much moisture as possible from the potatoes.
Meanwhile, you can preheat the olive oil in a big non-sticking pan and add the grated potatoes when they are dry and the oil is hot.
Each side needs about 13-15 minutes on medium heat. Don't flip or touch the hash browns before the time is over. Flip them only once and add some more olive oil to the pan. When the hash browns are mostly done, you can season them with some salt and pepper.
If you like, you can also fry some sausages, bacon or some eggs. They all go very well with hash browns :)
