Pancakes with Homemade Strawberry Sauce
I know the strawberry season is almost over, but I wanted to create at least one strawberry recipe for you this year. So I decided to make these delicious pancakes with a homemade strawberry sauce and I have to admit, that I was really surprised how easy and fast you can make the strawberry sauce at home (I had never done it myself before).


Ingredients for 2 persons

300g Strawberries
150g Flour
20g Sugar
250ml Milk
2 Eggs
1/2 Tsp Salt


Preparation

Start by cutting the strawberries roughly and mix them with some sugar in a bowl. Blend them and put the now very liquid sauce in a pot and boil it briefly. Once it starts to boil, reduce the heat to a low level and let the sauce simmer for about 5 minutes.

Meanwhile, you should already prepare the pancake batter. For that simply mix flour, milk, salt and eggs in a bowl until you get a smooth dough.

Once you've done that, you can heat up some oil (just 1-2 drops of it) in a pan and add about 3/4 of a ladle full of dough to the pan. Let the pancakes fry on both sides for about 2-3 minutes at medium to high heat or until they are golden brown.

When you've turned the pancakes, you can also spread the strawberry sauce on the already fried pancake side. This will heat up the sauce again and you don‘t have to eat your fresh and hot pancakes with a cold sauce. But if both are cold, the pancakes also taste delicious.

Once the second side is fried, you just have to roll up the pancake or fold it twice in the middle so your homemade pancakes with strawberry sauce are ready to serve.
