Homemade Doner Burger
Homemade doner kebabs are delicious and burgers are of course also very good. So why not combine both to a completely new recipe and make a delicious Doner Burger by yourself at home. And when the whole thing is vegan, it can only be perfect :D


Ingredients

Burger Bun
Salad & Carrots
Seitan (You can find the recipe under Basics)

For the Tzatziki

150g Soy Yoghurt
1/4 Cucumber
2-3 Cloves of Garlic
1 Tsp Lemon Juice
Salt & Pepper


Preparation

If you already have Seitan at home, everything is fine. If not, you should prepare it first. You can find the recipe for seitan here on my website in the "Basic" section.

After the question about the seitan is clarified, you can start preparing the tzatziki. For that, simply peel and grate the cucumber and crush the garlic with a press. Mix all the ingredients in a bowl and taste the tzatziki with some salt and pepper. Put the Tzatziki in the fridge for the rest of the time so that the flavours can get a bit more intense.

Now heat some oil in a pan and fry the seitan, which you should have cut into very very thin slices. The seitan should be sautéed for about 3-4 minutes on each side at medium to high heat. Be careful not to fry it too long, otherwise it will be as hard as stone.

While the seitan is frying, you shout cut the salad and grate the carrots.

Last but not least, toast the burger buns and spread some of the salad and carrots on it, followed by the seitan and the fresh made tzatziki. And by that, your homemade vegan doner kebab burger is ready to serve : D
