Homemade Black Been Guacamole Burger
Vegetarian and vegan burgers are no real burgers? Yes, they are! And they are delicious. You should definitely try out this recipe for a black bean burger with homemade guacamole and nachos. I recommend making the guacamole by urself, because bought one just does not come close to the taste of a homemade one :)
Ingredients for 2 Burgers
Cheese (Alternatively replace with Vegan cheese)
For the Black Bean Patties
200g Black Beans
2 Cloves of garlic
1Tsp Salt & Pepper
1Tsp Paprika Powder
For the Guacamole
1 Red onion
1-2 Cloves of garlic
1Tbsp Lime juice
Salt & Pepper
Before you start with the burger preparation, you should prepare the guacamole first. This is done very quickly and while you are making the burger, the taste of your homemade guacamole can unfold its flavor :)
First dice the onion, tomato and the garlic into very small cubes followed by coring the avocado. Put the avocado in a bowl and mash it with a fork. Mix it with the diced ingredients and the lime juice. Taste the guacamole and season it with some salt and pepper and put it in the fridge for the meantime.
Next you can prepare the burger patties which is very simple. First take a bowl and mash the beans in it, followed by mixing all the other patty ingredients with it. If the mass is still too moist or not well connected, add some more breadcrumbs.
You can make two patties out of it and fry them in a pan with hot oil (3-4 minutes each side). However, you should heat up the oil beforehand and then reduce the heat to a medium level as soon as you put the patties in it. While the patties sizzle in the pan, you can also toast the burger buns.
Once the buns are lightly toasted, you can already build the burgers. Spread some guacamole on one-half of the buns followed by adding the lettuce and the black bean burger patty. Spread some more guacamole over the pattie and finally add the nachos on the guacamole. With that last step your homemade Guacamole Black Bean Burger is ready to serve :D
