Tomato Sauce for Pasta & Pizza

1 Kg of Tomatoes
1 Onion
1-2 Hot Peppers
1 Carrot
50g Olives
125ml White Wine
2-3 Tbsp Chopped Basil
2-3 Tbsp Chopped Oregano
2-3 Tbsp Olive Oil
1 Tsp Salt
1 Tsp Pepper
1 Tsp Sugar


First, you need a blender for cutting the olives, peppers, carrots, garlic and the tomatoes very finely. Then heat the olive oil in a pot and sautée the onions, which you previously diced briefly. After 1-2 minutes, add the wine and bring it to boil. Once this is done, you can add the previously mixed tomato sauce and season it with salt, pepper and sugar.

Let the sauce simmer for 60 minutes at low heat. Once finished, taste the sauce and if necessary season it again before you add the herbs. Let the sauce simmer for further 30-60 minutes until most of the liquid has evaporated.

The recipe is really super simple and the sauce fits perfectly to pasta, but also tastes very good on pizzas :)
