Banana Molehill Cake
Ingredients for the dough

130g Butter (Room temperature)
130g Sugar
70g Flour
50g Cocoa Powder
50g Starch
125ml Milk
4 Eggs (Separated)
1 Packet Baking Soda
1 Pinch of Salt

Ingredients for the filling

600ml of Cream
50g of Chocolate Chips or Grated Chocolate
5 Tsp Cream Stiffness
2 Tbsp Powdered Sugar
3-4 Bananas


Take a bowl and start stirring the butter with half of the sugar until it's creamy. Then add the egg yolks one after another followed by all the dry ingredients and the milk. Now you just have to beat the egg white until it's stiff, add the remaining sugar and beat the egg white for another minute. Now fold in the beaten egg white in the dough and transfer it into a greased bake form with approx. 28cm diameter. In the preheated oven, the dough needs to bake at 180°C for 30 minutes.

After the dough is baked and completely cooled down, you can prepare the filling for your molehill cake. For this, you just have to beat the cream until it's stiff. After whipping the cream for about 30-60 seconds on low speed, add the powdered sugar and cream stiffness. When the cream is stiff you can add the chocolate chips.

Then you have to hollow out the cake dough. Leave an approx. 1-2cm thick edge and make sure that you do not "dig down" too deep. Crumble the removed dough and set it aside. Once you have done that, you can put the bananas on the cake and spread the whipped cream on the cake. Make sure to create a nice hill for your molehill cake.

Now you just have to spread the crumbled dough on the cream and let the cake rest for at least 2 hours in the refrigerator.
