Ham and Noodle Casserole
A simple but delicious casserole with lots of cheese and ham. Perfect when you don't have so much time to focus on cooking :)
Ingredients for 2-3 persons
100g Ham (For example Black Forest Ham)
250ml Vegetables or Beef Broth
50ml Sauce Thickener (40ml Water & 1-2 Tsp Starch)
1 Tbsp Lemon Juice
Salt & Pepper
Start cooking the noodles in salted water for about 6-7 minutes. Meanwhile, chop the ham and preheat the oven to 180-200°C.
As soon as the noodles are done cooking and still quite firm, mix the broth with the cream and let it boil briefly. Reduce the heat to medium and add half of the cheese, the sauce thickener, salt and pepper. Stir everything at the same temperature until the cheese is completely melted and the sauce is creamy.
Next, grease a casserole dish with butter or oil, followed by adding the pasta and ham. Mix both with the creamy cheese sauce and sprinkle the rest of the cheese on top. Put the casserole in the oven for 15-20 minutes. You can serve it as soon as the cheese became golden brown :)
